Wi-Fi 6, the next generation of Wi-Fi, is set to bring about more than just faster speeds. It's designed to improve the efficiency of your internet connection, especially when multiple devices are connected. The theoretical maximum speed of Wi-Fi 6 is 9.6 Gbps, a significant leap from the 3.5 Gbps of its predecessor, Wi-Fi 5. The real advantage of Wi-Fi 6 is its ability to distribute this high-speed internet across multiple devices, potentially improving the speed for each device on the network.
Wi-Fi 6 is not just about top speeds for individual devices, but about improving the network when many devices are connected. With the average household having more Wi-Fi devices than ever before, this is a crucial improvement. Wi-Fi 6 introduces new technologies that allow routers to communicate with more devices at once, send data to multiple devices in a single broadcast, and schedule check-ins with devices. This means that even as more devices start demanding data, your connection should remain strong.

There are a few things you can do to make sure your home network is performing at its best.
Things like:
Minimizing Interference
Wi-Fi signals can be disrupted by other electronic devices, such as microwaves, cordless phones, and baby monitors. To reduce interference, keep your router away from these devices and use the 5 GHz frequency band for a cleaner, less congested signal.
Regular Maintenance
Keep your network in top shape by regularly rebooting your router and checking for firmware updates. Clean the router's vents to prevent overheating and ensure consistent performance.

Tip: A good place to start if your network isn't working as it should be is a quick reboot of the router - this does not factory reset your device, so the network settings and SSID and password will all stay the same.
Below are three ways to reboot your device:
Manual reboot
Unplug the device, wait 1 minute, and plug the device back in.
Plug the device back into power.
Great job - now your device has been factory reset 🎉
Using the Mercku App
1. Download the Mercku App from AppStore for iOS, or Google Play for Android
2.Make sure your device is connected to your Mercku Network
3. On the main screen, click on the device icon from your Network (the green circle in the middle of the screen)
In this example, M6-1100 is the Main router
4. selecting your Gateway router, (the green circle in the middle of the screen) locate the Reboot button at the bottom of the menu
5. Wait until your M6 completes the reboot process.
6. Well done - our device has been rebooted! If any issues persist please contact us.
Using the Mercku Web Portal
Make sure your computer is connected to the Mercku Wi-Fi Network
From a Web Browser, open http://mywifi.mercku.tech, and log in using your Router Admin Password
Under Setting > Select Router Management > Click on List > Click Reboot besides the router you would like to factory reset.
Wait until your M6 completes the reboot sequence - don't unplug it!

How to add a new Mercku M6 Router to an existing M6 Wi-Fi network
The M6 series includes the M6, the M6a and the M6a Plus.
At this time you can only mesh nodes within the same series (e.g. the M6 to M6 and the M6a to M6a and so on)
There are three different ways to do this, listed below:
Using Quick Connect Feature 1. Plug in the power to the M6 Node and wait until the LED indicator is orange 2. Press the "Connect" button on the main M6 router (Gateway) to start pairing mode - the LED should start blinking Orange 3. Press the "Connect" button on the M6 node to start Node pairing mode - the LED should start blinking Blue
Wait a moment until both M6s connect automatically - once the M6 node meshes, you'll see its LED indicator become white.
Using Mercku App
1. Click on the “+” on the right top corner of the page.
2. Select the "Add a node option" option
3. Plug in the M6 node - the indicator light on the front will start off as red, then orange
4. Press the "Connect" button on the M6 node until the indicator light blinks blue.
5. Follow the interactive, on-screen instructions to complete the setup, and wait for the M6 node to be added. When the M6 nodes are meshing, you will see an animation of this activity - please wait for 1 minute until the "Successfully added" message appears.
6. Go back to the homepage and click on the Wi-Fi point to see the new node added to the network.
Method 3: Mesh via Mercku Web Portal
1. Make sure your computer is connected to the Mercku Wi-Fi Network
2. From a Web Browser, open http://mywifi.mercku.tech, and log in using your Router Admin Password
3. On the homepage, click on Add a node > Start
4. Plug-in the power to the M6 node - the indicator light on the front will show red light at first, then turn orange.
5. Press the Connect button on the M6 node until the indicator light blinks in blue, follow the instructions in the App.
6. Wait about 1 minute for the M6 node to be added.
7. When the nodes are meshing, an animation of this activity will show up.
8. Please wait for 1 minute until the "Successfully added" message appears.
9. Go back to the homepage and click on the Wi-Fi point to see the new node added to the network.
Success!
